Lay your slice of bread out and coat it in syrup, using a knife to spread it even. You want it to cover the entire piece of bread. It’s up to you how thick it is.
Pour the sprinkles onto a small plate and gently press them into a single layer
Lay your bread, syrup side down, on the plate of sprinkles.
Coat it well. Remove and enjoy!
Notes
Change up the sauce - This recipe for fairy bread is very versatile. If you do a quick search for “fairy bread Australia” you will find quite a few variations. I use caramel sauce, but you could use Nutella, chocolate sauce, maple syrup, butter, jam, etc. Whatever floats your fairy boat!
Cut out shapes - If you want to make your treat even cuter, use cookie cutters to cut out shapes in your bread before you begin dressing it.
Use various kinds of sprinkles - 100’s and 1000’s are what Australians call the sprinkles most commonly used on fairy bread recipes. In the US, they’re called nonpareils. However, you can use any type sprinkles your heart desires.
