Tips for making Mint Donuts:
Make sure your donuts are completely cool before topping them with the glaze. If you the donuts are still warm, the glaze will melt off the top and make a big mess!
For easy clean up: Lay parchment paper or wax paper underneath a cooling wrap to catch any excess glaze that drips!
For frosting the donuts: You can frost the donuts in 2 ways:
- Dip the donuts. For a smooth finish, dip the top of each donut in the glaze, then place it back on to wire cooling rack to set.
- Spread the glaze. If you want a more rustic look, spoon the glaze over the top each donut and spread it with the flat side of the spoon. This will create drips on the sides of the donut, so be sure your donuts are resting on a wire rack with a piece of wax or parchment paper underneath to catch the drips.
