Ingredients
To make cookie cereal you'll need:
- All-purpose flour

- White sugar
- Brown sugar

Substitutions
Salted butter - When it comes to baking, not all of us have salted butter laying around. If all you have is Unsalted Butter, add ¼ teaspoon of salt per ½ cup or 1 stick of butter.
White sugar - brown sugar or even Coconut Sugar will both work as a substitute 1:1 for granulated sugar in this recipe.
Vanilla extract - A great substitute for vanilla is pure maple syrup.
Baking soda - We don't recommend substituting baking soda.

Liz's Tips for the best cookie cereal!
Use different chip flavors - If preferred, you can change the mini chocolate chips to another flavor. Great options are white chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, etc.
Skip the chocolate chips altogether - If you want to try it just as a brown sugar cookie without the chocolate, that works and is a delicious idea as well!
What tip should I use? - I used a 12 frosting tip to place the dollops on the baking sheet. You don’t have to be overly picky with what tip you use.
Don’t overfill the frosting bag - I learned the hard way - don’t overfill the bag with dough. It makes it hard to get the right leverage and makes a mess. Fill it halfway and it’s easier to work with.
Don't want a flat cookie? - If you prefer your cookies to puff up a bit more and not spread out to be thinner on the sides, swap the butter for Crisco. You can use butter-flavored Crisco so you don’t lose the buttery flavor.
