These Valentine's cornflake hearts are the perfect treat! They're sweet, crunchy, slightly gooey and simply delicious!
A fun twist on rice krispie treats, these no-bake treats are super easy to make and can be a lot of fun for kids to prepare. They do get your hands a bit messy, but it's totally worth it!
These would make for a great Valentine's school treat as they are free of major allergens. Many schools are nut-free and therefore many cookies and cakes are out.

How to Make Valentine's Hearts:
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Stir in marshmallows and food coloring
- Fold in the corn flakes, and gently stir to coat evenly.
- Grab a large heart-shaped cookie cutter and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape the cornflake mixtures into hearts.
- Press Swedish berries into the bottom corner of each heart, and let them sit for 30 minutes - 1 hour before moving.

How to Store Cornflake Hearts:
Storing: You can store these xyz recipe for up to 4 days in an airtight container at room temperature.
Freezing: We don't recommend freezing these cornflake hearts. They'll get soggy!

Valentine's Treat: Cornflake Hearts
Ingredients
- 4 cups corn flakes cereal around 4 cups
- ½ cup salted butter 1 stick
- 10 ounces mini marshmallows
- 3 drops red food coloring may need more
- 10 Swedish berries for decoration - optional
- 1-2 tablespoons extra butter for your hands
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Stir in marshmallows and food coloring, cooking over low heart for around 5-10 minutes, stirring consistently until everything is melted and smooth.
- Fold in the corn flakes, and gently stir to coat evenly. Remove from heat and let sit at least 5 minutes to cool.
- Grab a large heart-shaped cookie cutter and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Rub butter on hands to make it easier to shape your hearts, and drop a spoonful of cornflake mixture into the heart. Press to spread it out, then remove the cookie cutter and shape it into a heart outline. You don’t have to use the cookie cutters, but they help make sure you use the same amount of mixture for each heart.
- Press Swedish berries into the bottom corner of each heart, and let them sit for 30 minutes - 1 hour before moving.
- Serve/enjoy as you like!
